The Hive: a coffee shop's whole system
A website, order-ahead, a ticket board for the bar, a customer list and the week's sales: one system mr-bill built for a coffee shop, instead of five apps that never talk.
- BusinessCoffee shop
- BuiltSite, ordering, back office
- On its ownOrders to the bar, menu kept current
Try it
Order a latte on the public site, or ask The Hive for one in its chat, then follow it into the back office, where mr-bill keeps the board and the menu current.
From five apps to one
Before
Five logins, no full picture
A website builder, an ordering app, a paper ticket rail, a loyalty card and a spreadsheet of sales.
Now
One system that knows the shop
An order on the site lands on the bar's board, the regular gets remembered and the sale shows up in the numbers.
Look around
Each part of the app, as it looks with the made-up data. Open any of them live.
A chat on the shop's own site
Customers ask The Hive about the menu, the hours or what's dairy-free, and it can put an order in: here a latte and a croissant, which land on the bar's board as order #419. In the demo it's an example conversation: scripted, with made-up data, and nothing is sent.

Order ahead, from a phone
Customers pick a drink, choose the size and the extras, and see roughly when it will be ready to pick up.

Every order on the bar's board
Online, chat and walk-in orders land on one board, from new to making to ready. Above it, what runs on its own: new orders go straight on, a ticket that's waited too long gets marked, a sold-out pastry comes off the online menu. Ask mr-bill to start every new ticket and the board moves.

What it does every day
- Customers order ahead and pick up without waiting in line
- Customers get answers and place orders in the shop's own chat
- Every order lands on the bar's board as it comes in
- A drink that runs out comes off the menu in one tap
- Regulars in one list, with their orders and what they spend
- Today's sales so far, compared with yesterday
